StorePointTM is a database of geo-coded retail and leisure outlets covering all multiples with three or more sites, and which can contain the following data fields (depending upon the data set):
- Fascia Name
- Holding Company
- Address
- Postcode
- Primary retail/leisure category
- Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code
- Gross Selling Area (GSA)* - based on published company data, fieldwork and estimates based on category averages
- Other data, such as the number of lanes for bowling centres and number of screens for cinemas
- Family Expenditure Survey (FES) region
- National Top 20 fascia ranking as above*
- XY coordinates
- Unique Reference Number (URN)
- StorePointTM data is supplied to 1 metre accuracy. Datasets from other sources are generally to 100 metre accuracy
The accuracy of StorePointTM is ensured through ongoing desk research, field visits, cross category participation analysis, and the application of address cleansing and postcode rectification software.
StorePointTM updates are available at least twice a year.
